About the project
Installing Mineral Insulated Copper Cable into an historic and culturally significant building such as Buckingham Palace will not only prevent a quick spread of potential fires (similar to the fire in 2002), but will also preserve priceless artefacts such as paintings and stop irreversible damage being caused to the building itself.
Many historic buildings are now managed as commercial operations and so electrical installations and maintenance must be minimised to ensure that revenues from admissions are not adversely affected. In 30 years over 170 million metres of MICC have been sold with zero failures in the field, making sure maintenance and extra work does not need to be undergone.
