About the project
Claridge's is a famous 5-star hotel in London with a long-standing connection with royalty that has led to it sometimes being referred to as an "annexe to Buckingham Palace". Completed in 1898, this hotel has a lot of history within the UK. With a large number of rooms (190) and 2 restaurants, Claridge’s can be occupied by thousands of people at a time, meaning the risk of fire can be high.
Hotel fires can cause devastation amongst families and smoke and fire can spread very quickly between close proximity rooms. MICC is installed to stop fire spread in its tracks and to allow occupants to evacuate their rooms safely and leave the multi storey building following emergency lighting and signage.
